2. What is personal data?
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

4.1 Why does the company process my data?
We process the data we have received from you in order

  • to provide you with the content of our website,
  • to optimize our website,
  • to get in touch with us easily and communicate your concerns to us,
  • to provide you with interesting information about our products and our company

4.2 Which data will be collected of those I have not provide directly?

  • for the contact form, newsletter, warranty extension pursuant to section 6 (1) lit. a GDPR

4.4 Which statistics will be produced based on my data?
The following anonymous (= without personal reference) statistics are created:

  • number of visitors: visitors, page views, sessions,  search engine robots
  • visitor behavior: duration per session, page views per session and exit rate
  • page analysis: entry page, exit page, error pages, most visited pages, high bounce pages, and search terms
  • Origin pages: all pages of origin and referring pages
  • visitor locations
  • browser and systems: browser, browser version, operating systems and operating systems versions.

4.5 Who can receive my data?
As part of the processing, your data may be transmitted to:

  • people within our company who are directly involved in data processing,
  • service providers who are bound by contract and are bound to secrecy and perform subtasks of data processing,
  • external companies, if necessary. Examples of this are postal service providers for the delivery of letters

4.6 Will my data be forwarded to countries outside the EU?
There are no plans.

4.7 How long will my data be saved?
We save your data during the time we need it to achieve the purposes outlined in point 4.1. However, there are legal regulations (e.g. the tax code § 147) that force us to keep certain documents for six or ten years. After expiration of the retention period, we delete unnecessary data.

4.8 Do I have to provide my data?
In order to achieve the reasons described in point 4.1, it is necessary that you provide us with your personal data.

4.9 Automated decision making and Profiling
Automated decision making and profiling do not take place.

5. Which rights do I have?
5.1 Note regarding your rights
As an affected person of a data processing, you have, inter alia, the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter also referred to as "affected rights"):

5.2 Rights of information (according to section 15 GDPR)
You have the right to request information about whether we process personal information about you or not. When we process personal information about you, you are entitled to know:

  • why we process your data,
  • what types of data we process from you,
  • what type of recipients should receive or receive data from you,
  • how long we will storage your data (if it is not possible to specify the storage duration, we must inform you of how the storage period will be determined, e.g. after expiration of statutory retention periods),
  • that you have a right to rectification and deletion of the data concerning you, including the right to limit the processing and / or the possibility of objection,
  • that you have a right of appeal to a supervisory authority,
  • whether your data is used for an automatic decision and, if so, what logic the decision is based on,
  • what impact and scope the automated decision can have for you,
  • that, if data about you are transmitted to a country outside the European Union, you are entitled to information as to whether and, if so, under what guarantees an adequate level of protection of the data receiver is ensured,
  • that you have the right to request a copy of your personal information

Data copies are mainly provide in electronic form. The first copy is free of charge. For any further copies, please note that copy fees are possible. A copy can only be provided in cases where the rights of another person are not infringed.

5.3 Right to rectify data (according to section 16 GDPR)
You have the right to request the rectification of your personal data in case it is not correct and/or incomplete (including the right to complete the personal data per explanations and messages). A rectification has to be made without undue delay.

5.4 Right to deletion of the personal data (section 17 GDPR)
You have the right to demand the deletion of your personal data in case:

  • the personal data are no longer required for the purposes for which they were collected and processed,
  • the data processing was based on your consent and you have revoked your consent; however, this does not apply if there is another legal permission for data processing,
  • you have filed an objection to data processing the legal authorization of which is in the so-called "legitimate interest" (referred to in section 6 (1) (e) or (f)); However, deletion does not have to take place if there are legitimate reasons for further processing,
  • You have objected to data processing for direct marketing purposes,
  • your personal information has been improperly processed,
  • the data concerns a child, whose data has been processed for information society services (=electronic service) based on the agreement (section 8 (1) GDPR)
  • to fulfill a legal obligation (e.g. statutory retention obligations),
  • to perform public duties and interests under applicable law (including "public health"), or
  • required for archiving and / or research purposes

A right to delete personal data does not exist if:

  • the right to freedom of expression and information is contrary to the deletion request
  • the processing of personal data is required to fulfill a legal obligation (e.g. statutory retention requirements),
  • to perform public duties and interests under applicable law (including "public health") or for archiving and / or research purposes; or
  • the personal data required to assert, exercise or defend legal rights

The deletion must be carried out immediately (without culpable hesitation). In case the personal data has been made public by us (e.g. on the Internet), we must ensure, as far as it is technically possible and reasonable, that other data processors are also informed about the deletion request, including the deletion of links, copies and / or replications.

5.5 Right to restriction of data processing (according to section 18 GDPR)
You have the right to limit the processing of your personal data in the following cases:

  • If you have denied the accuracy of your personal information, you may require that your data not be used for the duration of the verification of accuracy and thus their processing is restricted
  • In the case of unlawful data processing, you may request the restriction of data usage instead of data deletion
  • If you need your personal data to assert, exercise or defend your rights, but we do not longer need your personal information, you may require us to restrict the processing to the purposes of law enforcement
  • If you have entered an objection concerning the data use (pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR) (see also point 5.7) and it is not certain yet whether our interests in a processing outweigh your interests, you can request that your data for the Duration of the test is not used for other purposes and thus their processing is restricted

Personal data, whose processing has been restricted to your request, may not be processed, subject to the storage only with your consent

  • to assert,
  • to exercise or defense of legal claims,
  • to protect the rights of other natural or legal persons, or
  • for reasons of important public interest.

If a processing restriction is lifted, you will be notified in advance.

5.6 Right to data portability (according to section 20 GDPR)
You have the right to request the data that you have provided to us in a common electronic format (e.g. as a PDF or Excel document). You may also request us to submit this information directly to another company, if technically possible for us. The condition that you have this right is that the processing takes place on the basis of a consent or for the execution of a contract (see point 4.2) and is carried out with the help of automated procedures. Furthermore, exercising the right to data portability shall not affect the rights and freedoms of others. If you use the right to data portability, you will continue to have the right to data deletion under section 17 GDPR.

5.7 Right to object to certain types of data processing (according to section 21 GDPR)
If your data is processed for the purpose of performing public interest tasks or for the exercise of legitimate interests (see point 4.2), you may object to this processing. You have to explain the reasons that arise from your particular situation for your opposition. These may be e.g. special family circumstances or legitimate secrecy interests.

In case of your contradiction we have to refrain from any further data processing concerning the reasons named in section 4.1 unless:

  • compelling, vulnerable reasons exist for the data processing which prevail over your interests, rights and  freedom, or
  • the data processing is necessary for the assertion, exertion and defense of legal claims.

The data use for the purpose of direct marketing can be rejected; this is also valid for profiling as far as it is related to direct marketing. In case of your contraction personal data shall not be used for direct marketing.

5.8 Prohibition of automated decisions / profiling (according to section 22 GDPR)
Decisions by us that have a legal consequence or that significantly affect you, must not be based solely on automated processing of personal data. This includes profiling. This prohibition does not apply insofar as the automated decision:

  • is required for the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract with you,
  • is permitted by law, if such legislation contains reasonable measures to protect your rights and freedoms and your legitimate interests, or
  • has been taken place by your explicit agreement

Decisions based solely on automated processing of special categories of personal data are only permissible if they are based on:

  • in case of your explicit agreement or
  • there is a significant public interest in the processing and
  • adequate measures have been taken to protect your rights and freedoms and your legitimate interests

5.9 Execution of affected rights
For the exercise of the rights, please contact the above mentioned office. Requests that are submitted electronically are usually answered electronically. The information, notifications and measures to be provided pursuant to the GDPR, including the exercise of the affected rights, are generally provided free of charge.

Only in the case of manifestly unfounded or excessive requests are we entitled to levy an appropriate fee for the processing or to refrain from action (in accordance with section 12 (5) GDPR).

If there are reasonable doubts about your identity, we may request additional information from you for identification purposes. If an identification is not possible for us, we are entitled to refuse the process of your request. If possible, we will notify you separately about a missing possibility of identification (see section 12 (6) and section 11 GDPR).

Information requests are usually processed immediately, within one month of receiving the request. The deadline may be extended by a further two months, as far as this is necessary taking into account the complexity and / or the number of requests; In case of an extension of the deadline, we will inform you about the reasons within one month after receipt your request. If we do not act on a request, we will inform you of the reasons within one month after receipt the request and you will be advised of the possibility to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or to seek judicial remedy (see section 12 (3) and (4) GDPR). Please note that you can only exercise your rights in the context of restrictions provided by the Union or the member states (section 23 GDPR).

6. SL or TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security purposes and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests that you send to us as a site operator. An encrypted connection is indicated by the browser's address bar switching from http: // to https: // and the green lock icon in your browser bar.

7. Cookies
Internet pages partly use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and stored by your browser.

8. Contact form
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the contact form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored in order to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this information without your consent.

The processing of the data entered into the contact form is therefore exclusively based on your consent (section 6 (1) lit. GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to the storage or the purpose for the data storage is omitted (e.g. after completion of your request). Mandatory statutory provisions - especially retention periods - remain unaffected.

9. Newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address and that you agree to receive the newsletter, further data is only collected on a voluntary basis.

The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (section 6 paragraph 1 a GDPR, section 49 paragraph 1 a GDPR). The granted consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use to send the newsletter, you can withdraw at any time and free of charge for the future, such as the "unsubscribe link" in the newsletter or a simple statement to us.

The data deposited with us for the purpose of obtaining the newsletter will be saved by the newsletter until you have unsubscribed and will be deleted after unsubscribing the newsletter. Data stored for other purposes with us, remain unaffected.

10. Use of tracking-tools
10.1 Privacy Policy for the web analytics service Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have activated IP anonymization. 10.2 Privacy Policy for "Google AdWords Conversion Tracking" by Google Inc.
This website uses the "Google AdWords Conversion Tracking" feature of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland ("Google"). Google AdWords Conversion Tracking uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that allow you to analyze the use of the website by you when you click on a Google ad. Personal data is not stored. 10.3 Use of Google AJAX Search API
On these pages we use Ajax. Google AJAX Search API is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland. 10.6 Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts, provided by Google, for the uniform representation of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

11. Integration of the services of third parties
11.1 YouTube videos
Our website uses plugins from the Google-powered YouTube page. Site operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA

When you visit one of our YouTube plug-in-equipped sites, you will be connected to the YouTube server. It tells the YouTube server which of our pages you've visited.

We currently use the following social media plugins: Twitter, YouTube, Xing, LinkedIn, Facebook (Connect) and Pinterest. We use the so-called 2-click solution.

This means that when you visit our site, initially no personal data will be passed on to the providers of these plug-ins. The provider of the plug-in can be recognized by the marking on the greyed out box. Only if you click on one of the plug-ins, personal data will be transmitted: By activating the plug-in, data is automatically transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there.
